Canadian American architect, born 1929, whose sculptural, seemingly improvised buildings, worked out through physical models and realized with aerospace software, produced the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. A 1989 Pritzker laureate, he did more than anyone to make the computer an instrument of free architectural form.
